And here in Southend, we're lucky to have some of the very best parks and green spaces in the country.

The nine Green Flag-winners are:

Shoebury Common North

Sutton Road Cemetery & Southend Crematorium

Whether you're looking for a family day out, a scenic stroll, a place to exercise, or simply somewhere to relax and unwind, Southend's parks offer something for everyone.

Your Summer Starts Here From the woodlands and wildlife of Belfairs Park and Nature Reserve to the wide-open spaces of Shoebury Common North, each green space offers something unique to discover.

Take a picnic to Priory Park, explore the historic surroundings of Southchurch Hall Gardens, watch the remote controlled boats in Southchurch Park, or find a peaceful spot to sit and read a book in Leigh Library Gardens. These spaces provide the perfect backdrop for making the most of the warmer months.

As well as offering beautiful landscapes and opportunities for recreation, Southend's parks play an important role in supporting wellbeing, encouraging active lifestyles, and helping people connect with nature.

A Standard to Be Proud Of The Green Flag Award recognises parks and green spaces that are safe, welcoming, well-maintained and accessible. This year's achievement is a testament to the dedication of the council's parks, grounds maintenance and bereavement teams, alongside the volunteers and community groups who help care for these treasured places.

Plan Your Next Visit Whether you're meeting friends, spending time with family, walking the dog, enjoying a morning run, or simply taking a moment to relax, Southend's Green Flag-winning parks are ready to welcome you this summer.
