Looking for fun, free activities during the school holidays? The Southend Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme provides a wide range of sessions for children and young people who are eligible for Benefits-Related Free School Meals.
Activities take place across Southend and are designed to help children stay active, social and engaged throughout the school breaks.
What is the HAF Programme?
The Holiday Activities and Food Programme is funded to support eligible families during the school holidays, offering children the opportunity to take part in exciting activities in a safe and welcoming environment.
Sessions include sports, creative workshops, outdoor adventures, holiday clubs and specialist SEND provision delivered by local activity providers.
Who Can Take Part?
Free HAF activities are available for children and young people who receive Benefits-Related Free School Meals. There are also some paid activities available for children who are not eligible for the free programme.
What's Available?
The programme features a variety of activities for different ages and interests, including:
Sports and physical activities
Arts, crafts and creative workshops
Multi-activity holiday clubs
SEND-inclusive activities and support sessions
Family-friendly opportunities during school holidays
Summer Holiday Activities
Summer bookings are now open, with eligible children able to book up to 16 sessions during the holiday period.
