Even though Christmas is now a distant a memory and winter is in full swing, there’s still plenty of reasons to visit Southend.

With the weather going from bad to worse, we have a load of fantastic Indoor Attractions to take cover in when the rain descends; whether you fancy delving into Southend’s past at one of our museums or taking in some culture at an art gallery, there’s plenty of choice on those rainy days.

If there’s a rare sunny day you can head off and explore nature at one of our many stunning parks and gardens, or grab your four-legged friend and splash about in the waves along our seven miles of coastline.

We’re also incredibly excited to be launching LuminoCity, Southend’s first ever free international light festival from Wednesday 16th – Saturday 19th February 2022. Over four dazzling nights in February Half Term, eight large-scale interactive light installations will pop up at iconic landmarks in and around the town centre and seafront, giving residents and visitors the opportunity to view Southend in a new light.

Some venues may still be operating with restrictions in place, please check ahead before you visit.
