A talk and tour of new exhibition 'State of Her' with artist Heidi Wigmore, after hours this July as part of the Museum Lates series.

'State of Her' brings together three decades of Heidi Wigmore’s studio practice as a sharp, unflinching take on contemporary womanhood. From billboards and banners to painting, film and found objects, Wigmore builds a hybrid visual language that challenges, distorts and subverts idealised images of the female form. Bold, political and deeply personal.

Join Southend Museums after hours on 16th July for a guided tour of the exhibition, led by Heidi Wigmore.

Doors open at 6pm, with half an hour for enjoying complimentary drinks and exploring the gallery. The tour begins at 6:30pm, lasts approximately one hour, and the event finishes by 8pm.
