Southend City Jam returns for its fifth year from 28–30 August 2026, transforming Southend’s city centre and seafront into a vibrant open-air gallery. 

Since its launch, the festival has become one of the city’s most celebrated cultural events, attracting an international line-up of renowned street artists to create striking large-scale murals live across the city. 

Over three days, visitors can watch artworks take shape, explore new creative installations, and experience Southend’s streets brought to life through colour, culture and creativity.

Highlights include:

Pop-up Park

High Street / 28-30 August / 11am-5pm

Watch more than 15 artists transform two giant mural walls, including a collective of talented 13–17-year-olds painting alongside established creatives. Browse original art, prints and merch at Tom ‘Welly’ Well’s pop-up shop, then grab a drink from The Royal Hotel bar and soak up the atmosphere across the weekend.

Indirock Wall

The Forum / 29 -30 August 

Take a break from the art and scale new heights with the Indirock climbing wall. 

Street Art on the Cube

The Forum / 29 August / 11am-3pm

A guided 30-minute session with artist Rask, where you can learn real street art techniques and contribute to a large-scale artwork on the side of a monster cube. Sessions must be booked here.

Walk-Up Workshop

City Beach / 29-30 August / 11am-3pm

Join artists KnB and get hands-on with street art at our seafront cube! Learn tips, tricks and creative techniques as you experiment with spray paint and add your own designs to this ever-changing collaborative artwork.

Community Doodle Cube

The Forum / 29-30 August / 11am-3pm

Help transform a giant cube into a colourful community masterpiece by using paint pens to add your own designs, patterns, and drawings. No experience needed, just jump in, get creative, and watch the artwork come to life with every doodle!
