Monty Python and the Holy Grail

A screening of one of Britain's best cult comedies 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' (1975), part of our 'Cult Classics' series at the Beecroft Cinema Club.

Beecroft Cinema Club presents 'Cult Classics' series, screening the iconic films that fans are frenzied for on the last Thursday of each month on the big screen at the Beecroft Art Gallery.

In August, we're travelling back in time to the 10th century via the 1970s with 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' (1975), directed by Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones, starring Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Eric Idle and Michael Palin of the infamous Monty Python comedy group. It was the group's hotly anticipated first original feature film and an instant hit on release, grossing more than any other British film screened in the US in 1975, and has since been considered and consistently voted one of the greatest comedy films of all time.

Doors open and refreshments will be available from 6pm and the film will start promptly at 6:30pm (there are no adverts). There is no allocated seating. The film's run time is 1hr 31 minutes. The film is rated '12A' and this event is 12+ only.
