Southend born cellist Gregory Walmsley has transitioned to a dynamic career in solo and chamber music following two decades with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Known for his depth of tone and stylistic versatility, he now brings his orchestral experience to more intimate settings, performing a wide-ranging repertoire with clarity, authority, and expressive nuance.
Lauma Skride is a Latvian pianist known for her sensitive, expressive playing and strong virtuosity. A Beethoven Ring award winner (2008), she performs internationally with major orchestras and renowned conductors. She is Professor of Piano and Piano Chamber Music at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe.
