Halloween - We want you!

It's never too early to start thinking about your Halloween costume! The Southend Halloween parade is back for the sixth year and for the first time is happening on Halloween night! The seafront will transform into a spectacular celebration of creativity, community, and all things spooky.

This year we’re looking for even more of the community to join the magic! Over the past five years, the Southend Halloween Parade has grown into one of the city’s most vibrant community events, bringing together families, performers, creatives, and businesses for an unforgettable evening. With 1000s of spectators, we’re looking at you, the community, to help entertain the masses. This is your time to shine or should we say spook! Whether you’re a seasoned performer, a local group, a business, or just someone who loves Halloween, we want you to take part.

You can join in as:

• A costumed walker or group

•  A themed troupe or organisation

• A performer, dancer, or street entertainer

•  A decorated vehicle or float

• Something completely unique, the more creative, the better!

This parade is all about imagination. From spine-chillingly spooky to delightfully whimsical, every idea is welcome. Starting at Eastern Esplanade Car Park and ending at the Genting Casino, the route is approximately 1.3 miles long, a great way to get those steps in. Or if you’re feeling extra creative, why not look at building a float!?

Grab your community group, your dance school or just round up your mates and join us!

Entry into the parade is FREE, all that’s needed from you is that your costumes are spook-tastic but family friendly AND illuminated! Spaces are filling up fast so make sure you register soon to secure you place in the parade! We can’t wait to see your creations!
