Things to do

With certain lockdown restrictions still in place, our indoor attractions, museums and galleries are still closed.

As from Monday 12th April, our outdoor attractions reopened, so once again you can ride the rollercoasters at Adventure Island, or take a stroll down the longest pleasure pier in the world. Sea-Life Adventure have also opened up their outdoor exhibits, for the bargain price of just £5 you can see meerkats, penguins, macaques and more! Our outdoor sports facilities have also reopened too, along with gyms and indoor sports centres. And don't forget we're allowed to meet in groups of up to six in outdoor spaces, so be sure to check out Southend's award winning parks and gardens that are waiting to be explored with your family and friends.

If all goes to plan, from Monday 17th May our indoor attractions will reopen, which includes the indoor exhibits at the fantastic Sea-life Adventure aquarium, as well as our Museums, Art Galleries, cinemas and arcades.

The final stage in the Government's roadmap comes into play on the 21st June, where (hopefully) some sort of normal service will resume and we can all have an amazing summer in Southend.
