Southend PlanetariumVictoria Aveune, Southend on Sea, SS2 6EW
Southend Planetarium was constructed by astronomer Harry Ford in 1984 and is housed upstairs at the Southend Central Museum.
The Planetarium offers visitors a unique experience with changing talks throughout the year, exploring the night sky.
All the presentations are presented live, giving visitors plenty of opportunities to ask the knowledgeable lecturers any question they may have. Each show can seat around 20 people and can be booked for private shows.
Pre-booked groups are welcomed from Tuesdays to Saturdays. We recommend contacting the Museum team to confirm seat availability and current programme.
The Planetarium is situated on the first floor within Central Museum. We regret that currently there is no disabled access to this floor.
