Summer Reading Challenge

This year’s Summer Reading Challenge theme is ‘Gadgeteers’; a Challenge that’s all about science and innovation!

From Saturday 16 July – Wednesday 31 August 2022, children are invited to join the Gadgeteers in using their curiosity and imagination to understand the science behind a whole range of interests, from fashion and technology to cooking and music.

You can take part at any of our 6 libraries across Southend, for full details of our venues please visit our website. Gadgeteers Volunteers will be on hand from 10am – 2pm each day to chat to your children about the books they have read.

If you are unable to visit the library, children can participate in an alternative online Challenge at: summerreadingchallenge.org.uk
