Come along to St Mary’s Prittlewell for our Heritage Open Day on Saturday 7th September 2024 between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm.
Bring the whole family for a day filled with exploration and creativity. Discover the intricate beauty of our church tower with guided Tower Tours, and marvel at the artistry of the Stained Glass Windows.
For the young and the young at heart, our Children’s Craft Activities and Victorian Playground Games promise lots of entertainment and learning. Witness incredible Lego Displays that will spark the imagination and let your artistic side shine at our Colouring Stations or have a go at building something creative with Lego yourself.
Capture memories at our whimsical Photo Booth (you could come in costume already – there’s over 1000 years of history at St Mary’s to choose from), and don’t forget to recharge with delicious refreshments available throughout the day. There’s something for everyone, so come and join us for an unforgettable experience that blends history, fun, and creativity. Don’t miss the live performances throughout the day from handbell ringers and medieval songsters that bring the past to life right before your eyes.
Whether you’re a history buff, an art enthusiast, or simply looking for a delightful family outing, our Heritage Open Day has it all! Join us and become part of a vibrant community celebrating history, creativity, and the joy of discovering colour in the church. We can’t wait to see you there! And don’t forget it’s all ‘free’ including car parking at Roots Hall.
