Journey from the Beecroft Art Gallery into the darkest corners of the universe, in our new, free drop in sessions ‘Spacetime Sundays’.
Join us at the Beecroft on regular Sundays throughout the year for an hour of cosmic conversation, led by our friendly neighbourhood astrophysicist Robert Clemenson. Whether you’re completely new to astronomy and wanting to learn more, needing a bit of help with a tricky GCSE physics question, or an already avid stargazer with quantum queries in need of answers, come along and meet other likeminded, curious cosmonauts for chats, snacks and a whole lot of space stuff. Like a book club, but for all things astrophysics!
The sessions are accessible for ages 11+. Older children and adults of all abilities can enjoy and understand the discussions. Children younger than 11 are welcome, but may struggle with understanding the content.
Tickets are free and pre-booking is optional, but reserving a space is recommended to express interest and help us keep track of numbers of attendees.
Robert Clemenson is a theoretical physics researcher and lecturer based at the University of Sussex and Royal Holloway, University of London. His research focusses on models of the universe involving extra spatial dimensions, and dark matter.
