Southend Libraries is pleased to present TV and Radio broadcaster John Holmes MBE. John’s autobiography ‘This is the BBC Holmes Service’ recounts a full and fascinating life, from pupil at Westcliff High School for Boys, to presenter and producer for the BBC.
John has produced much-loved Radio 4 programmes ‘Down Your Way’ and ‘Any Questions’ and worked with luminaries Spike Milligan, Sheila Hancock and Nigel Hawthorne, to name but a few!
