Carols in the Park

Priory Park
2.00 pm to 3.00 pm

You are warmly invited to swell the happy throng at Southend Band’s famous Carols in the Park event, to be held on Sunday afternoon, 21st December, at Priory Park Bandstand.

This is the 18th year of this grand tradition where, whatever the weather, crowds muster for just an hour to sing along to favourite carols and classic Christmas songs, led by a traditional British Brass Band in festive mood. Santa is expected to drop by with chocolate treats for the children, and the young at heart. And it’s all for FREE!

It starts promptly at 2 o’clock and is all over by 3, so try not to be late! A word to the Wise… Parking in Priory Park will be a nightmare, so it’s best to park ‘off-site’, and enjoy the walk in.

Some folk bring a folding chair, and a blanket. Others bring a flask of hot chocolate (to save queueing at the over-worked café). Warm clothing is however essential – and a festive hat!

See you there? Why not make it part of YOUR Christmas tradition!

PS Song sheets will be provided.

**Performances can be cancelled at short notice in the event of bad weather or illness**
