Discover the lives of prehistoric people in Southend with this interactive tour and activity.
Start your journey with a tour about the first human inhabitants in Southend, their life and culture, and the other species with which they shared their Ice Age world. Following the tour will be an artefact session in which we will take a closer look at some of the prehistoric artefacts and Ice Age fossils from our museum collections.
Finish your journey through the Ice Age with a chance to create your own Stone Age tool (from soap!) You’ll be shown some stone tools from our collection for inspiration, how prehistoric people used to make these and then have a go yourself.
