Thorpe Bay beach received a Blue Flag award for achieving excellence in beach cleanliness and for safe pedestrian access.
With spectacular views of the Thames estuary, this beach is a great place for refreshing walks and for those looking for a relaxing break. Wander past the picture-postcard beach huts or grab a bite to eat at one of the cafes or restaurants nearby.
There is decking leading straight onto the beach for wheelchair and pushchair access meaning it’s a great day out at the seaside for everyone.

Please note that a BBQ ban is in place – There is a current Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) in place banning the use of BBQs on all Southend Beaches.

Dog Control Orders:
No dogs are allowed on Southend’s beaches between 1st May and 30th September. Every person in charge of a dog (except guide dogs) who permits the dog to enter or remain on the beach during this period can be fined.
