The Ironworks

The IronWorks is Leigh-on-Sea’s and wider Southend’s vibrant community space, bringing people together through creativity, culture and connection. Now based in our new home at the Leigh Community Centre, we’re proud to host a wide variety of free and low-cost events designed for everyone to enjoy.

From community dinners, live music and theatre-style performances, to comedy nights, immersive art experiences and cultural celebrations, there’s always something happening at The Ironworks. We also run dedicated sessions and clubs for over 60s and people with additional needs, providing inclusive spaces to socialise, create and feel part of something special.

Families can enjoy kids’ parties, our kids area, free crafts, workshops, and hands-on creative events, while local artists, performers and makers regularly showcase their talents on our stage and within our gallery spaces.
