Photographers will have special access to the Vulcan XL426 maintenance hangar at Southend Airport where unique scenes will be created using re-enactors representing RAF service personnel as if they were working on the aircraft during its service life.
Subject to the XL426 maintenance programme schedule, the aim is to recapture as many genuine engineering scenes as possible in the hangar. Working on the undercarriage, under the wings, on the wing, in the bomb bay, with brake disc assemblies, etc… You get the idea, just like you were there some 50… Yes, fifty years ago!
