STW Creative Collective: Exploring Southend Museums with Vittorio Ricchetti

Southend Central Museum
1.00 pm to 3.00 pm

Vittorio Ricchetti, Curator of Material Culture at Southend Museums, will lead a tour around the museum with special access behind the scenes. You will engage with a range of objects and explore themes such as identity, gender, self representation and expression. In this session, Vittorio will also discuss how to get into museum work and the types of roles you could consider as possible career paths.

As part of Southend’s Twilight Worlds, there is a Creative Club for 16- to 25-year-olds consisting of five free public events. Each workshop is designed to encourage you to creatively expand your knowledge on local queer histories, encourage self-expression and show the kinds of careers you may want to explore within the arts. To ensure these series of events are accessible to all, we have a budget to pay for travel expenses per person for each event.
