10am / A Leigh to Remember / A talk by Carole Mulroney, known for her popular “Leigh Lives” website and her incredible work on “Local History and Families of Leigh,” Carole will take us on a journey through the rich history of Leigh-on-Sea — its people, places and stories from years gone by. A must for anyone who loves local history and discovering the stories behind our town. Don’t miss it.
11am – 11:45am / Interactive Storytelling / Interactive storytelling filled with fun and imagination, set in a calm, inclusive environment where children of all abilities can feel comfortable and included. No booking required.
12pm / A Fishy Business / A talk by Paul Gilson, a lifelong fisherman and dedicated lifeboat man – who has spent many years working at sea.
Hear his captivating tales from life on the water, behind-the-scenes stories from the fishing industry, and the realities of making a living at sea. From dramatic rescues to the everyday challenges of a fisherman’s life, this promises to be a truly engaging and insightful talk.
