Natural Play with A Better Start Southend
10.00 am to 11.30 amTaking place as part of the A Better Start Southend Festival of Conversations taking place across Southend from 12-26 October for families with children up to 4-years-old, and early years’ professionals.
Pre-booking required.
Children up to four years learn through play, sight touch and sound. Natural play looks to our immediate environment, introducing a variety of resources that are available to us every day.
Pebbles, sand and sea are on our doorstep and season-specific Autumnal elements bring dried leaves and conkers that make child’s play more fun! Now more than ever, we are conscious of preventing food waste and will also be looking at food sources from the earth and reducing plastics.
Explore with us the benefits of our natural environment, creating sustainability for the future of our young ones. Enjoy practical activities, with written guidelines, in an informative activity for the entire family.
This free-flow session will include activities both in and outdoors, with helpful staff on hand, adapting activities for individual families and specific plans to suit you and your little ones.
Creche facilities on offer. This session is open to all Southend families with children under 4 years old. Pre-registration is required. Accessible parking, toilet and baby changing facilities are available. Please don’t forget to pre-register for this session.
Please note all Festival of Conversations may have a photographer and videographer present to capture the session. There will be an option to opt out of any media consent upon arrival at the session.
