Despite reassurances by a doctor that he is harmless, Doris has misgivings about the man’s sanity, and urges her daughter (Natalie Wood) not to believe in fantasies and fairy stories. However, they begin to notice that the old man might be more magical than he seems, as they discover the true meaning of Christmas spirit.
