Learning new words with Autumn Crafts

Twenty One
11.00 am to 1.00 pm
Part of Raising Southend: A Festival of Conversations

Taking place as part of the A Better Start Southend Festival of Conversations taking place across Southend from 12-26 October for families with children up to 4-years-old, and early years’ professionals.

A Better Start Southend (ABSS) are pleased to be joining their Family Support Workers for Social and Communication Needs for this creative learning session for the entire family.

Come along for some crafty fun, for you and your little one. Themes surrounding Special Educational Needs and Disability will be addressed, but this all-inclusive session is for all those young ones who need a little extra help exploring new words through play.

This drop-in session means there is no need to book in advance and you can enjoy a sensory experience with an Autumnal momento that you can make on the day and take away! Your little one will receive a laminated vocabulary flower and dry wipe marker, to help with their learning back at home. So join us, snack on some pizza, and learn about strategies for supporting your child to learn new words through play.

Accessible parking nearby, accessible toilet and baby changing facilities are available. This session is open to all Southend families with children under 4 years old. Pre-booking is not required – turn up and enjoy the fun.

Please note all Festival of Conversations may have a photographer and videographer present to capture the session. There will be an option to opt out of any media consent upon arrival at the session.
