This event is part of Lady McAdden’s Summer Art Show at the Forum, Palette to Prevention.
This 2-hour workshop is an introduction to writing your own poetry. We will cover a warm-up exercise, ‘self-portrait’ poetry, and a free-write. There will be a hand-out and example poems, so new writers and more established poets alike are welcome. The workshop will end with an optional chance to share what you have written.
This workshop is run by Maddi Crease, a multi-published poet, who has received commission from BBC Sounds, and funding from Arts Council England. Maddi runs regular open mics and is an experienced facilitator. You will leave having written multiple poems, and with some new tools to further your writing from home.
