Family Action Get Together; Family, Food and Finances
9.30 am to 11.30 amTaking place as part of the A Better Start Southend Festival of Conversations taking place across Southend from 12-26 October for families with children up to 4-years-old, and early years’ professionals.
A Better Start Southend are excited to be partnered with Family Action for this session, as we tackle the practical, emotional and financial support needed for families, experiencing isolation, difficulty or poverty. Join us in this welcoming and friendly environment for information on support in your local area, with refreshments.
There is a lot of ground to cover here, so to give you the best access we can, we have invited several partner organisations who will focus on the theme of managing on a low income, while each offering its service plus an activity.
Share ideas on maintaining a healthy mind and body, eating well and managing your income, to feed you and your family. Family Action understands that these issues can have a huge impact on the stability of your family life.
We are in this together, so let’s share ideas, and talk budgets, cooking and family life. Refreshments are provided, along with takeaway goody bags!
Drop-in creche provided. Accessible parking nearby, accessible toilet and baby changing facilities are available. This session is open to all Southend families with children under 4 years old. Pre-booking is not required.
Please note all Festival of Conversations may have a photographer and videographer present to capture the session. There will be an option to opt out of any media consent upon arrival at the session.
