Join Southend Museums after dark at Prittlewell Priory for a special spooky screening of Guillermo del Toro’s gothic mystery romance ‘Crimson Peak’ (2015).
“A house as old as this one becomes, in time, a living thing. It starts holding onto things…keeping them alive when they shouldn’t be. Some of them are good; some of them bad…Some should never be spoken about again.”
Set in Victorian England, aspiring author Edith Cushing (Mia Wasikowska) falls for the dashing and mysterious Sir Thomas Sharpe (Tom Hiddleston). Once married, they move into his family’s ancient and crumbling estate, where Edith, plagued by ghostly visions, uncovers the house’s dark past and her husband’s hidden secrets.
