Basharan + Rat Hole

Basharan + Rat Hole upstairs at The Railway Hotel Southend (UPSTAIRS), Southend-on-Sea, SS1 1AJ

Basharan have a professional debut album on the way and a single release imminent! You can watch and listen to all of this unreleased material live upstairs at the Railway Hotel! An iconic building for music in Southend on Sea.
Speaking of iconic: they are joined by local punk phenoms Rat Hole. Yes… Rat Hole. They will be returning home at the end of their tour for this show! Oh, and there’s a DJ until 1 am playing eclectic music all night.

There’ll be a small number of tickets available on the door, but if you want to guarantee your spot, it’s best to grab one in advance.

You’ll get a wristband that lets you come and go upstairs all night, with access to the private Saloon Bar the whole time. We’re clearing the pool table out and replacing it with tables and chairs, then transforming and decorating the whole upstairs space with band merch tables, a brilliant PA and speaker setup, and an exclusive vibe that feels like a dedicated event space rather than a normal pub night. Bands are on from about 8:15pm to 11pm, then the DJ takes over and keeps it going, with upstairs open until 1am. If you fancy some great live music followed by a dance with your mates, grab a ticket and lock in your space for the night.

Here’s what more reputable people than myself are saying about these fantastic rock bands.

“Basharan have been one of the most talked about acts this year, with huge demand for their return, and Friday night’s performance proved why, with easily one of the loudest and heaviest performances we have had at the club. Dirty and gritty at times, with undertones of Alice in Chains and the sky-cracking riffs of bands like Mastodon.” -The Bear Club: Jazz and Blues Club, Luton.

“Dr Smackpot (drums & vocals) and Johnny Sideways (guitar & vocals) are the the most hilarious double act since Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson, as anyone who’s been to one of Rat Hole’s live shows will tell you! Their comedic duologues are gleefully included on the album, as they blunder through their lives much as Rik and Ade did in the TV series ‘Bottom‘.” Punktuation Magazine
