Taking place as part of the A Better Start Southend Festival of Conversations taking place across Southend from 12-26 October for families with children up to 4-years-old, and early years’ professionals.
Join grassroots environmental charity, ‘Surfers Against Sewage’, and the Southend BeachCare team for an Autumn Beach Clean. Learn about the importance of protecting our beaches and coastal habitats for marine life. Litter pickers and sacks will be provided, bring a pair of gardening gloves if you have some (limited available!) and a bucket for the children.
In addition to a clean-up, we will enjoy making beach art out of natural materials found on the shoreline, while learning about our beach environments. Turn up at anytime between 10:30 am and 12 for this drop-in session. In the event of adverse weather conditions, this event will be cancelled. Bring your beach babies and help them learn about the environment and sustainability.
This session is open to all Southend families with no need to register, just come along and enjoy the fun!
Accessible parking, toilet and baby changing facilities are available nearby.
Please note all Festival of Conversations may have a photographer and videographer present to capture the session. There will be an option to opt out of any media consent upon arrival at this event.
