An Introduction to Pottery for Parents & Carers
10.00 am to 12.00 pmTaking place as part of the A Better Start Southend Festival of Conversations taking place across Southend from 12-26 October for families with children up to 4-years-old, and early years’ professionals.
Pre-booking required.
Promoting mental health and well-being for parents and carers, A Better Start Southend invites you to join this calm and creative session, while engaging with like-minded caregivers, coming together for this community-based activity.
In this adult pottery session, you will learn the basics of clay making, while taking some time out for yourself. Enjoy this free art session and create and decorate within a relaxed environment, led by a guest artist. These sessions are for parents who would like some time for themselves.
While your little one is safe and happy in the creche next door, you can engage in adult conversation, and share experiences and other creative resources aimed at parents. Creations can be collected in a few weeks when your piece is fired and ready to take home.
This session is open to all Southend carers and parents with children under 4 years old. Please pre-register, limited spaces are available. Accessible parking, our onsite creche and toilet and baby changing facilities are available.
Please note all Festival of Conversations may have a photographer and videographer present to capture the session. There will be an option to opt out of any media consent upon arrival at the session.
