A Bugs Life – building lives that thrive (Dad and male carers’ Group)

10.00 am to 12.00 pm

Taking place as part of the A Better Start Southend Festival of Conversations taking place across Southend from 12-26 October for families with children up to 4-years-old, and early years’ professionals.

Pre-booking required.

A Better Start Southend in partnership with Trust Links hosts this early years activity and wellbeing session, with free breakfast, from the Westcliff Therapeutic Garden, in which dad or male carers and their children will make bug hotels to take home!

This workshop will be fun and interactive, whilst encouraging chatting about life and everything we need to thrive. Being outside in nature in the fresh air, can have a life-changing effect on our mental health and improve physical health through moderate physical activity. The bug hotels represent the importance of the environment and sustainability in the very environment where little bugs thrive! Meet other families, growing together, while connecting with other dads over the theme of the building blocks of being a successful parent and engaging with our kids in a community environment.

Accessible parking, toilet and baby changing facilities are available. This session is open to all Southend families with children under 4 years old. Please don’t forget to pre-register for this session.

Please note all Festival of Conversations may have a photographer and videographer present to capture the session. There will be an option to opt out of any media consent upon arrival at the session.
