Shoebury Common Beach awarded the prestigious Blue Flag beach award for 2016, a recognition of the high standards of water quality, beach cleanliness and safe pedestrian areas that include ramped disabled beach access to a wooden over beach platform.

With its large grassed parking areas with space in total for approximately 1500 cars.

Beach huts that line the promenade provide shelter from the prevailing breeze for those wanting to  enjoy spectacular views of the Thames Estuary or watch the variety of maritime movement from traditional barges to cruise ships.

Shoebury Common beach is the ideal place to spend the day either on the beach or taking a stroll along the prom or taking in some peace and fresh air.

There are chargeable facilities to launch boats and jet-skis; additionally the area is home to Southend Kite surfing school.

The iconic ,Uncle Tom's Cabin offers a large selection of Ice Creams, light refreshments and beach requisites on site, perfect for a traditional fun day beside the seaside for all the family.

Dog Control Orders:

No dogs are allowed on Southend's beaches between 1st May and 30th September. Every person in charge of a dog (except guide dogs) who permits the dog to enter or remain on the beach during this period can be fined.
