Standing for over a century it extends 1.3 miles into the Thames Estuary, and is a well loved and recognised symbol of Southend. With stunning views, it's the perfect place to go for a taste of the invigorating fresh air, and experience the freedom of the sea.

If you walk along Southend High Street, towards the sea, your eye will be drawn in a straight line towards the longest pleasure pier in the world. There's plenty of fun things to see and do while you're visiting...

The Royal Pavilion is a unique events venue that was opened in 2012. Throughout the year the Pavilion hosts a range of events, from exhbitions to concerts, plays and more.

Salt Cafe is the perfect place to stop for a drink or bite to eat a mile out to sea. The covered terrace offers spectacular views of the Estuary, and their cream teas are to die for.

RNLI Lifeboat Station is one of the busiest stations in the country, where you can book a tour to have a look around. Or stop by the gift shop and help support this life-saving charity.

Mini Golf is a great new addition to the pier for 2016, Southend Pier Mini Golf boasts a 12 hole course that's loads of fun! Do you have what it takes to beat Olga the Octopus?

Don't forget to pick up a postcard from the Visitor Information Centre, get it stamped and then post it from our official Royal Mail post box.
