Seafront Fireworks

Southend City Fireworks Return for 2025 Season

Southend City Fireworks are back and lighting up the skies once again, running from Saturday 27th September to Saturday 15th November 2025. This beloved annual tradition promises dazzling displays and unforgettable evenings for families, friends, and visitors alike.

Showtimes:
September & October: Every Saturday from 20:00
November: Every Saturday from 19:30

Now in its 29th year, the Southend City Fireworks have become a cornerstone of the town’s night-time economy, drawing thousands to the seafront to enjoy safe, vibrant, and family-friendly entertainment.

The event is proudly delivered by the Seaside Partnership & Others, a collaboration powered by generous donations from local businesses including Adventure Island, Sealife Adventure, Chinnery’s, Pebbles, Beaches, and Seafood Shack. Additional donation's have also come from Kingpins Bowling, Southend Amusements Arcades, Southend-on-Sea City Council, Essex Chambers of Commerce, and Southend BID.

The fireworks are set off from a barge out in the Estuary, east of Southend Pier, meaning you can get a fantastic, uninterrupted view of the displays anywhere from Sea-Life Adventure to Genting Casino.

Firework displays may be cancelled in bad weather, for up to date information, please follow the official Seaside Partnership Facebook page.
