People, Pets and Places – An Exhibition by Sheila Street

The Forum Southend Gallery Space will be a-wash with a selection of beautiful acrylics and oils, celebrating the subject matter of people, iconic buildings, the beloved Thames Estuary and the surrounding area. This exhibition is by talented local artist, Sheila Street. Artworks will be available to purchase.

About the artist:

“I completed a Foundation course in Art in my youth and more recently was awarded a Certificate in Painting at the Art Academy in London.  I have been exhibiting in shows and galleries for a number of years.  I have had a painting selected for the ‘Royal Society of Portrait Painters’ at the Mall Galleries in London, which was subsequently sold.  I have won the Art Academy Portrait Drawing Prize and since moving to this area am a annual participant in the Leigh Art Trail.

I take inspiration from a variety of genre and artists but I am currently inspired by the local area and most recently influenced by the work of Spanish artist, Sorollo. His work has moved me to combine my love of painting people with my love for painting the sea.”

Be sure to stop by and view the fascinating artworks!
