Southend seafront

Attracting around 20,000 people to Southend seafront with over 60 floats and acts, the Southend Carnival Procession is one of the largest in the UK.

The carnival procession includes colourful floats, exciting acts, dancers, bands, big costumes and much more. Expect flag waving, all kinds of music, bright lights and a great atmosphere within the crowd.


Saturday 17th August 2019. The procession starts at 18.45 from Southchurch Park.

It will reach City Beach on the seafront at 19.30 pm and finish on the seafront at Shorefield Road at approximately 21.00 pm.


10-15min walk down the High Street from Southend Victoria train station, 10min walk to the seafront from Westcliff train station or from Southend Central train station.

If driving, we recommend parking in Seaway car park, the Royals car park, or Tylers Avenue car park.

Please note that other car parks on the seafront will be closed whilst the procession takes place and you will not be able to enter or leave until it has finished.
