Join Age Concern Southend’s Dementia Choir and elderly persons choir in a FREE concert at the Haven Community Hub, celebrating the Platinum Jubilee on Wednesday 29th of June at 4-5pm. No booking required – just turn up and enjoy! The group have chosen a set list inspired by Kings and Queens (both royalty and pop royalty).
CDs will also be produced and sold to raise vital funds for Age Concern Southend CIO.
AGE CONCERN SOUTHEND CIO were awarded funds from the Arts Council’s Let’s Create Jubilee Fund by the Essex Community Foundation towards their Jubilee ‘SINGING FOR MEMORIES’ project to work with local musician Val of Musicality – Therapeutic Music Interventions CIC to create two choirs, an older people’s adult choir and a ‘dementia choir’. Each choir will rehearse and record 5 songs with the theme ‘Kings and Queens’ which will culminate in a concert performed to our community as part of our Jubilee celebrations on Wednesday 29th of June at 4-5pm with the Haven Community Hub.
