Presented by The Jazz Mix, Southend-on-Sea: Glasgow-born Hamish Stuart shot to fame in the 1970’s as the falsetto voice and guitarist of the Average White Band, his distinctive song writing and vocal and guitar style helping pave the way to their extraordinary worldwide success. Stuart went on to write, record and tour with an array of soul stars including Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, George Benson and Chaka Khan.
In the late 80’s joined Paul McCartney’s band appearing on several albums and world tours over six years. The Hamish Stuart Band however, reflects his own personality, immensely diverse interests and influences, while showcasing his inimitable vocal style.
Joining Hamish on the stage will be Adam Phillips on guitar, Steve Pearce on bass, Ross Stanley on keyboards and Ian Thomas on drums.
