Contemporary Elders – Fridge Magnet Creation

Focal Point Gallery
10.30 am to 12.30 pm

Join Focal Point Gallery for the next Contemporary Elders FREE workshop, led by Elliot Gibbons, where participants will have the opportunity to discuss and share thoughts and feelings about what makes Southend feel like home to them as part of the public consultation work of Lu Williams’ new commission for a major public artwork that will welcome visitors and residents to the UK’s newest City – Southend-On-Sea.

Participants will have the opportunity to take part in group discussions, then design and create their very own fridge magnet from clay!

The Contemporary Elders programme is open to everyone aged 60+. Workshops will be focused on the social side, with no prior art experience or understanding of art needed. Just a willingness to get involved! This group is for anyone aged over 60.
