African Art & Crafts

Leigh Community Centre
11.00 am to 3.00 pm

This is an exhibition of beautiful, colourful African Art from the paintbrushes of a group of artists brought up in the slums around Kisumu in Western Kenya. An art school set up in the Nyalenda slum gave them the chance to develop their talent. All the paintings are originals. Alongside the art will be lovely Kenyan crafts.

Feel free to come along and browse (no entrance fee). All the art and crafts can be purchased at very reasonable prices with the proceeds going to a small locally-run charity, the Kenya Orphans Fund & Uganda Project (KOFUP charity no: 1089628) which supports the needs of some of the poorest children and young people in Kenya and Uganda.
