Southend Air Festival 2012

2012 will be the 27th year that Southend-on-Sea has staged one of Europe's largest free Airshows. The two day event is undoubtedly the most spectacular in Southend's calendar, and 2012 will be no different. This years event is being delivered in partnership with easyJet who have opened a new base at London Southend Airport. 

On the ground the Festival will look different from previous years with traditional favourites such as representatives from the Army, Navy and RAF, but also with a more varied selection of groups, businesses and organisations represented in various new zones throughout the event site.

Staged against the backdrop of the Thames Estuary along almost 2 miles of seafront, the Southend on Sea Air show will feature aircraft displays from both military and civilian groups, which will be the crowning glory of the weekend.
