Located inside the Pier's award-winning entrance, the Visitor Information Centre (VIC) provides a wide range of services as part of the national Tourist Information Centre network, including:

• Booking agents for the National Express, Euroline coaches and Ticketmaster.

• Bookings for local events, boat and coach trips.

• Same day accommodation search and bookings (for personal callers only).

• Friendly and knowledgeable advice on where to go and what's on in Southend.

• The sale of a range of merchandise, maps, guides, bus, train and tide timetables.

• Keys for disabled toilets under the national RADAR scheme.

• Advance booking for day hire of wheelchairs for visitors who require them.

Southend's world famous Pier operates seven days a week, 364 days a year:
Spring:
8.15am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday and to 8.00pm at weekends
Summer:
8.15am to 8.00pm Monday to Sunday
Autumn:
8.15am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday and to 8.00pm at weekends
Winter:
8.15am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday and to 6.00pm at weekends
