Make sure you plan a trip to Southend-on-Sea in 2011 to experience the new City Beach project. City Beach, on the central seafront, is one of the project's to be undertaken as part of the massive £25 million investment package and builds on Southend's seaside traditions and existing assets to transform the beachfront for residents and visitors alike.

State-of-the-art lighting columns are at the centrepiece of the City Beach project, helping to extend the day into the evening. You can enjoy a new landscaped area, complete with a refreshing children's fun fountain and new footpaths and cycle facilities.
