Dial-A-Ride Scheme

• Door-to-door transport service for people of any age whose disabilities prevent them from using conventional forms of transport.
• Gives residents and visitors to Southend the freedom and independence to travel within the Southend and Castle Point districts.
• Available to registered users only. Registration is by completion of an application form - no registration fee required.
• 24 hrs notice (minimum) is required but please note the booking is subject to space being available.
• A single or return fare is payable for the service.

Wheelchair Loan Service

• Wheelchair loan service, run on a voluntary donation basis, providing a manual wheelchair for day visitors to Southend who have injuries or long-term disabilities.
• Bookings in advance from: Dial-A-Ride office (a charitable organisation) on 01702 215666, or Southend Visitor Information Centre on 01702 215120.
