Southend-on-Sea Town Centre Management is pleased to host a variety of markets throughout the year - from traditional ‘Farmers Markets' to visiting continental markets. In the past we have hosted a variety of markets including Italian, French, German and Markets of the World.

We are always looking to enhance the town centre shopping experience by hosting markets so if you are an operator or a stallholder interested in trade space in Southend please give us a call on 01702 447031.

Trade space at Southend Farmers Market

A traditional ‘Farmers' Market' has been running in the Southend Town Centre now for over two years and is operated by Essex Farmers Markets. Bright market stalls sell traditional farming produce providing an opportunity for people to purchase local, freshly-cultivated goods including meats, cakes, vegetables, herbs, condiments and much more.

The market has a regular bi-monthly slot of the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month and is usually located outside the Natwest Bank on Southend High Street. The market commences at 8.30am closing around 4pm. Early attendance is strongly advised.

Stallholders at Southend Market located in York Road, Southend Town Centre

Southend town centre will host a new market which will trade on the former York Road Market site. There will be between 30 - 50 market stalls selling a variety of goods and produce. The market will trade every Friday and Saturday between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm. The market operator, Geraud Markets (UK) Ltd, have an excellent track record in the development and operation of all types of markets and a Market Manager is available on site overseeing the day to day market activities.

Christmas Farmers & Crafts Market

The ever popular Farmers & Craft market will be on the High Street this festive season.

Seasonal delights such as rustic breads, organic Christmas cakes, succulent sausages, free range eggs, delicious jams and chutneys will be on offer as well as special Christmas treats.

There will also be a Christmas craft market featuring a unique range of gift ideas! The stalls will be selling personalised gifts, wooden crafts, jewellery and much much more so make sure you don't miss the opportunity to take home a present for your loved ones that you can't buy anywhere else on the High Street.
