Please complete all Sections of this form. Any omissions could result in delays, or permission not being granted.

Section Two - Filming Location Details

Section Three - Technical Details

  • What type of filming Equipment will you be using?

Section Four - Insurance

Production Companies/Television Companies are required to hold a current policy of insurance in respect of Public Liability. The relevant limit of indemnity shall be an amount approved by the Authority's Risk & Insurance Section, but under no circumstances must this be less than Five Million Pounds, and the Council reserves the right to require a higher limit if deemed necessary.

Companies will be required to produce evidence of their insurance cover, at least seven working days prior to any filming commencing. Permission cannot be granted until this documentation is received and approved.

Section Five - Fees

An Administration Fee of £75.00 for processing your filming application will be charged.

Additionally you will be charged a Location Fee for filming in the borough. The amount is dependent upon where you want to film, the number of locations, the amount of time and whether the filming is for commercial or non-commercial purposes. On receipt of your application form, the fee will be discussed and agreed with you. A contract will be drawn up for both parties' signatures and Southend-on-Sea Borough Council will issue an invoice to you for the agreed amount after the filming has taken place.
