The two day Southend Airshow is undoubtedly the most spectacular event in Southend's calendar.  Staged against the backdrop of the Thames Estuary, along almost 2 miles of seafront, this is one of Europe's largest free airshows.

It will also be the first major free event of the year where you'll be able to see the world famous Red Arrows perform their new flying display. As well as watching these Royal Air Force pilots in the air, you can also meet them on the ground too. Southend is the first town to host the new Red Arrows Village where there will be lots for young (and grown up!) high fliers to see and do.

Whilst the skies over the Thames Estuary are filled with roaring and buzzing of fast jets as they zoom and flit at lightning speed, or formation aerobatic teams mesmerise the crowd with their manoeuvres, there's a non-stop action-packed entertainment programme that stretches for two miles on the ground.
